Our second annual Elul Songfest will take place at 6:30 pm on Saturday, Sept. 21. During “Selichot in Song: A Search for Harmony” our community will gather together to explore the themes of the High Holidays (repentance, forgiveness, hope, love, awakening and unity, among others) using music and poetry as a means for spiritual awakening and connection. This is a time to kick back, enjoy yourself and sing your way into the spirit of Elul. We will be using a mix of secular and traditional tunes that help us feel what is at stake during these High Holy Days. We hope you’ll sing, listen deeply, and get up and move, feeling refreshed and ready for the Holidays. Here’s an Elul playlist crafted by Sarah Metzger for the holiday. Contact Sarah if you have questions about Selichot in Song.
