Hametz Sale 2025

During the holiday of Pesah (Passover), it is not only prohibited to eat or prepare any foods that contain hametz (any sort of leavened bread products, including breads, pastries, biscuits, cookies, cakes, etc.) it is also prohibited to own such foods. Ideally, all foods which contain hametz should be consumed, destroyed, or donated before the holiday begins. However, there is also a tradition by which one may store hametz products in a separate room or cabinet where they will not be accidentally used during Passover or mixed with Passover foods and sold to a non-Jew until the holiday ends, when it is re-purchased.

By filling out this form, you are permitting Rabbi Steven Henkin to follow this tradition and sell your hametz on your behalf. If you would like him to do so, please fill out this form no later than Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

If you are not logged into your Temple Beth El account, you must provide the physical address where the Hametz included in this sale is located. This contract is invalid without this information.
