Foundation FAQ's
I don’t have a Fund. Can I donate to the Foundation anyway?
Yes. We welcome donations in all sizes with one exception. Donations to the Foundation’s General Fund should be a minimum of $100. Letters of acknowledgment are sent to Donors and to the Honoree. Donations are listed in the Temple Bulletin, without dollar amount.
How much money does the Foundation give to Temple Beth-El?
The amount varies from year-to-year depending on the Temple’s needs and the Foundation’s assets. In fiscal year 2022, the Foundation was able to provide $450,199 for new A/C units, religious school, holiday programs, kiddush lunches, professional compensation, and more.
I might like to start a Fund. What’s the process?
Every new Fund begins with a conversation about what’s important to you. After all, a Fund becomes a family legacy and communicates your values to the next generations. The minimum to start a new Fund is $5,000, payable over three years.
May I name the Temple Beth-El Foundation in my will or include them as a beneficiary of an insurance plan or IRA?
Yes, this is a way to contribute to Temple Beth-El without compromising your current standard of living. The Foundation would like to record your gift and personally thank you. Please contact Executive Director Cathy Fingerman.
